1000 Lives Demo

From Life After BOB Wiki

1000 Lives Demo is a failed Wavyverse neural app developed by Zoroaster Immeasurables (ZIM) founder Zoroaster (Z). It was presented at the ZIM Emergency Summit on New Years Eve 2074. The 1000 Lives Demo marked the final attempt by Z to steer ZIM in a spiritual direction. According to the official press release, 1000 Lives Demo is not considered affiliated with Zoroaster Immeasurables (ZIM) in any way.

Features[edit]

The demo purported to analyze a person’s Life logs, highlight the forgotten subplots of one’s life, and conjure a vivid simulation of a life lived on a subplot’s path. Z claimed 1000 Lives would function as an “experiential therapy,” exposing the user to the plurality of interesting paths available at every stage of their life.

Zoroaster (Z) infamously stored his subplot data in the brain of a tortoise for his 1000 Lives Demo. It was developed to search an individual's Life logs and highlight one's subplots through a form of simulated experiential exposure therapy.

The demo was dismissed by ZIM trial candidates, as it was only populated with Z’s own life experiences.

Participants[edit]

The 1000 Lives candidates selected for the demo were Chalice Wong of The Chalice Study, Z's niece and Affirmation BOB influencer Princess Wendy, Orlando de Blair and Task BOB influencer Commander Alan.

The Permadroned Years[edit]

The demo's buggy security features injured Dr. James Moonweed Wong and trapped the psyche of Chalice Wong for ten years (“The Permadroned Years”), leading to the ousting of Z from ZIM. The 1000 Lives Demo was originally hosted in the brain of a tortoise.

Present Day[edit]

In 2084, its codebase was refactored by Chalice Wong into a new venture called 1000 Plots.
